1. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small records a website can place in a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and tracking scripts. They can support essential functions, save preferences, measure use or support advertising. A storage record’s purpose matters more than whether it is called a cookie.
This Cookie Policy covers the privacy-control storage added by the Gryndor Circuit custom website sections and explains the relationship with the hosting platform. It should be reviewed whenever apps, pixels, analytics or advertising tools are added. A policy cannot accurately describe tools that have been installed later but have not been inventoried.
2. What our custom sections add
The custom sections store a consent-preference record in local storage under gc-consent-v1. It contains a version, a timestamp and choices for analytics, marketing and preferences. It also records data-sale/sharing consent as off. It does not contain your name, email address, phone number, project description or chat messages.
The saved record is read for up to one year, after which the interface asks for a new choice. A new choice replaces the prior record. Clearing website storage removes it. This local record is used to remember your decision and is treated as essential to the privacy-control function. The code does not add advertising cookies, analytics tags or optional personalization scripts.
3. Platform storage and technical functions
The website is intended to run on Shopify. Shopify and its delivery infrastructure may use cookies or related storage for platform functions, request handling, consent management and other operations determined by the storefront configuration. These functions are distinct from trackers installed by an individual custom section.
Our controls integrate with Shopify’s Customer Privacy API when it is available. The platform may create its own consent record after a choice is communicated. The precise platform inventory can change with configuration and product updates, so this policy does not list an unverified set of cookie names as if it were an audit of the live storefront.
4. Essential category
Essential storage supports functions necessary to deliver the site or honor a visitor’s request, such as remembering a privacy decision. Essential storage is not switched off using the optional category toggles. Blocking it through your browser may cause privacy prompts to reappear or affect platform functions.
The local project form does not use cookies or local storage to save entered details. The local website guide does not save a conversation in cookies or between visits. Form information and visible chat content remain in the open page and are cleared by relevant reset actions, reloading or closing it, subject to separate browser autofill or extension behavior.
5. Preferences category
The preferences category represents optional personalization supported by the hosting platform or separately installed applications. It might be relevant if a future tool remembers an optional presentation choice. The included custom sections do not install such a tool simply because a preferences toggle is displayed.
Selecting this category communicates a preference to the platform. It is not an instruction to begin an undisclosed collection. If an optional personalization feature is introduced, its purpose and behavior should be evaluated and disclosed before it operates. Essential privacy-choice storage remains available even when this optional category is off.
6. Analytics category
Analytics tools can measure visits, interactions and other website-use information. No analytics tracker is installed by the included custom code. The analytics toggle is provided so that a visitor’s choice can be communicated to Shopify and to any separately configured tool that appropriately uses the platform’s consent state.
An analytics choice should be respected before an optional analytics tool starts collecting information where consent is required. An app that ignores the platform’s consent setting is not made compliant merely by displaying this banner. The site operator must configure separately installed tools to respect the applicable consent requirements and update this policy to describe their actual use.
7. Marketing category and data sharing
Marketing tools may support advertising, audience measurement or cross-site targeting. The custom sections do not include advertising pixels or marketing trackers. Marketing is an optional category in the consent panel and is off unless you allow it, subject to an existing valid platform choice.
The code communicates data-sale/sharing consent as false. Where Shopify supports Global Privacy Control for the relevant region and storefront settings, that signal is handled by the platform. A sale/sharing opt-out does not mean that essential hosting functions stop processing technical information. We do not treat an optional marketing acceptance as authorization to sell data through these custom sections.
8. Making and changing a choice
The banner offers “Accept optional,” “Essential only” and “Manage preferences.” Accept optional turns on the optional categories in the recorded choice. Essential only leaves those categories off. Manage preferences opens category controls so that you can make an individual selection and save it.
You can reopen the controls using “Privacy & cookie preferences” in the footer. Changing a choice affects subsequent consent-dependent processing; it cannot reverse information already lawfully processed by a separately installed provider. If storage is disabled, the interface may still apply a choice during the current page visit but may be unable to remember it for a later visit.
9. Browser controls and limits
Browsers usually allow you to view, delete or block cookies and site storage. The location of these settings varies by browser and device. Clearing site storage removes the local privacy record. Blocking all storage may affect essential platform features and can require you to make a new choice when you return.
The privacy panel controls the choices communicated by this site. It does not control unrelated browser extensions, employer device policies, another website or a third-party service accessed outside the site. The use of a live AI endpoint is triggered by sending a chat question; that is a separate processing event described in the Privacy Policy, rather than an analytics cookie.
10. Keeping this policy accurate
Before publishing or adding a new application, the site operator should verify which cookies, scripts and storage the live storefront actually uses. Tools should not be described as active merely because a banner has a corresponding category. Equally, active tools should not be omitted because they were added outside the custom code.
Questions about a storage record, the consent controls or an apparent mismatch can be sent to Gryndor Circuit using the details below. Include the page and browser context without sending confidential records. The updated date identifies this policy version, and material changes to actual tracking practices require a corresponding disclosure update.
